I Sure Can’t, but He Shole Can

I sure can’t, but He shole can. Andy Stanley did a sermon using Philippians 4:13. And he summed it up by saying, “I can’t, but He can.” For me, it has been both a pleasant and encouraging reminder since I heard it. It has been comforting in my life when I’m facing an issue.

And thankfully, God speaks “Southern” as well, so to further get His point across to me, He rephrased it in my prayer. Ain’t God good? “I sure can’t, but He shole can.” There is nothing I have the right to stress and worry about. Period. There is no battle too big because even though I can’t win, He can.

There are plenty of things I just can’t do, but God can. And that’s the point of these things! I am supposed to face obstacles that remind me of the fact that I can give it my all and it still not be enough, simply because it’s not about me. It’s not about me at all, because it’s about God. It’s about the fact that God can.

We can’t do a lot. We can’t do it all. We just can’t, and we’re wrong for allowing the thought that what we can’t do outweigh the truth that You can. For everything that we can’t do, we can seek solace in the fact that He can. It doesn’t matter that I can’t, as long as I understand that He can. And not only can He do it, but it’s already done.
