Write a recommendation letter for someone who is applying to graduate school—and who you don’t actually think should be admitted.

To Whom It May Concern,

Blane has told me of his interest in being a student of your graduate school. Knowing you have one of the top graduate programs in the nation, I coud certainly see why.

Blane is very unique. And he would certainly bring that uniquenss to your program. He has an ability to think out of the box, which of course can be a good thing.

If you are looking for a student that can use that out of the box thinking to his advantage, Blane is the guy. I know the amount of applications you receive is probably overwhelming, but I guarantee you that no one will be like Blane.
