I just write as it comes to me
It’s not always about what I see
If I used only my vision to write
Then I would truly lack creative sight.
A thought comes to mind
I give it a little time
It develops in my brain
And I write it down just the same.
Write the idea that makes no sense
Process it, it becomes intense
Bit by bit, jot it all down
Let your paper, in ink, drown.
Pull a little here
And take a little from there
Begin to recreate
That idea’s former state.
And when you have what you may like
Tell the haters to take a hike
Believe in what you’ve written with all your might
If you don’t like it, change it overnight.
